It’s expensive already to live in NYC, low middle or high income, most of us would not welcome additional tolls in bridges that have been toll free way before our parents were even born. Subways are less convenient for busy business people and every year becomes a more expensive alternative as fares are also raised. BTW this so called “armpit” of America also happens to be the capital of the world. Whether you live there or not everyone pays for doing business here. I am willing to do my part too, but the problem is what’s fair to me may not be fair to others. Maybe we all need to sacrifice a little.
